Diplomas continue to develop successfully:

The first year of the Society Health and development and the Creative and Media Diplomas are now running across Kirklees. A lead member of staff has been seconded part time to drive the development of each Diploma

We are also in the first phases of detailed planning for the September 2009 diplomas in Engineering,  ICT and in early stages of development of Hair, Construction and Business. We hope soon to appoint a member of staff on part-time secondment for each of these diplomas, as it has been a success in the first two

The development teams for Hospitality and Sport are also being set up and having initial meetings to plan

Collegiates Courses

Recruitment has been good for all our established Collegiates courses and they are running successfully again. We have now seen two year eleven groups complete their courses and achieve qualifications

Other courses

We continue to have a great deal of success with short courses, particularly the engagement programme, where students who may have lost interest in education, have had memorable experiences and achieved certificates. This has had a positive effect on other areas of their education
